Teacher Hive is a home for teacher-made apps. It is developed by Tony Vincent and built with help from AI.

Many teachers are using AI tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, or Claude to create simple classroom tools with short prompts. That part is often the easy part. What is harder is figuring out where to put that code so it works on school networks and is easy to share with students.

That is where Teacher Hive helps. Teacher Hive gives teachers a simple, reliable way to turn AI-generated code into classroom-ready apps:

• Upload or paste AI-generated code — Add HTML created by an AI chatbot in one place.
• Choose an apphive.us link — Create a short, student-friendly URL for your app.
• Add an app icon — Used in the browser tab and as a home screen icon when saved on a phone or tablet.
• Control how links look when shared — Add a description and social image for clean link previews.
• Share your work publicly — Get a profile page where others can view and explore your apps.

Quick Start

1. Sign in — Click Login in the top right and sign in. Your email must be on the invite list to create an account.
2. Create a new app — Open your Dashboard and click New App.
3. Add app details — Enter an app name, URL slug, and description. Optionally add an app icon, social image, AI attribution, target audience, additional details, and tags.
4. Add your code or URL — Paste your HTML into the Code box, click Upload HTML to upload a file, or switch to External URL mode and enter a link to an app hosted elsewhere.
5. Save your app — Click Save.
6. Launch and share — Click Launch to open your app in a new browser tab. Share the link with students.

Creating and Editing Apps

App details

• App Name — The title shown on your dashboard and in the browser tab.
• URL Slug — The unique link for your app, such as apphive.us/my-slug. Once an app is created, the slug cannot be changed.
• Description — A short explanation of what the app does. Shown on your dashboard and in link previews. At least 40 characters, maximum 200.
• AI Attribution — Credit the AI tool you used to build the app, such as "Built with Claude" or "Made with Gemini."
• Target Audience — Tag your app with grade levels (PreK–12, Teachers, or Everyone). This helps others find apps appropriate for their students.
• Additional Details — A rich text field for anything else you want to share about the app. Supports bold, italic, lists, and links. Shown on the app's info page.
• Tags — Add up to 6 tags to help others find your app in search. Press Enter or comma to add a tag.

App source

Each app uses one of two sources:

• HTML Code — Paste your full HTML directly, or click Upload HTML to upload a .html file. Keep everything — styles and scripts — in one file.
• External URL — Enter a link to an app hosted somewhere else. Teacher Hive will redirect your apphive.us link to that URL.

You do not need to manage servers or hosting. Teacher Hive handles that for you.

If an app does not work after launching, return to your AI chatbot and ask it to rewrite the app so it can run from a single HTML file.

Customizing the Look

You can give your app a polished, classroom-ready look by adding images.

• App Icon (512 × 512) — Used on your dashboard, in the browser tab, and if a student saves the app to a home screen.
• Social Image (1200 × 630, optional) — Used when your link is shared in email, Teams, or social media. If you skip this, the app icon is used instead.

App Public Listing Settings

• Public listing on — Your app can be discovered by others and may be listed as a Featured App.
• Public listing off — Your app stays hidden. Only people with the direct link can access it.

App Info Page

Every app has an info page at apphive.us/info/your-slug. This is a great link to share with other teachers — it shows everything about your app without launching it.

The info page includes:

• App name, description, and author
• The date the app was last updated
• The number of times the app has been viewed
• Target audience, AI attribution, additional details, and tags
• A Launch button to open the app and a Copy Link button for the apphive.us URL
• A QR code button — tap it to see a large QR code and URL on a full-screen display, great for projecting in class so students can scan and open the app on their own devices

Sharing Your App

Every app has a permanent link: https://apphive.us/your-slug

When you share that link:

• The app opens full screen with no editor or distractions.
• Link previews show your app title, description, and image.
• The app displays without Teacher Hive branding, making it ideal for classroom projection and student devices.

Your Dashboard

Your dashboard shows all your apps. You can view them as cards or as a list.

• Cards view — A grid of your apps with icons and quick actions.
• List view — A compact list you can reorder by dragging apps up and down.
• Download My App Data — Export all your apps as a ZIP file containing your HTML code, images, and a summary spreadsheet.

Searching for Apps

Use Search Apps to find apps published by other teachers.

• Search by keyword — matches app names, descriptions, tags, authors, and additional details.
• Filter by audience — tap a grade level chip to narrow results to apps for that audience.
• Sort by relevance, recently added, or most visited.
• Toggle between card and list view.

Your Profile

Click your avatar in the top right and choose Edit Profile to:

• Set your display name. First and last name are recommended.
• Add a public email so others can contact you.
• Link a website or social media account.
• Add a short bio and your location.
• Upload a profile photo.
• Choose a theme color for your profile page.
• Set a custom profile URL. You can change it once — after that, the option goes away.

Profile public listing

• Public listing on — Your profile can be discovered by others and may be listed as a Featured Teacher.
• Public listing off — Your profile is hidden from public view.

Bookmarks

Tap the bookmark icon on any app card to save it to your Saved list. A notification appears with options to add the app to other lists as well.

Lists let you organize bookmarks by topic or purpose, like Math Centers or Morning Warm-Ups. You can have up to 20 lists. The Saved list is permanent and cannot be renamed or deleted. Create, rename, and delete other lists from My Bookmarks in the navigation menu.

Public vs. Private — Each list defaults to private (only you can see it). Make a list public to share it. Public lists appear on your profile page and get a shareable link at teacherhive.app/user/your-profile/list-name. Note: if your profile is set to private, public lists won't be visible to others either.

Managing bookmarks — From My Bookmarks, switch between lists using the tabs at the top, drag apps to reorder them, and use the × button to remove an app. Click a filled bookmark icon on any app to open the Save to List panel and adjust which lists it belongs to.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Teacher Hive is built for vibe coding. You describe what you want, your AI tool writes the code, and Teacher Hive hosts it.

How do I get my app featured?

Your app must have Public listing turned on. Featured apps are selected by Tony Vincent.

Can I change my app after I save it?

Yes. You can edit the code, images, and description at any time from your Dashboard. If you need to undo a recent change, use Undo Last Save in the edit modal.

What happens if I delete an app?

Deletion is permanent. The link stops working immediately, and the code cannot be recovered.

Is Teacher Hive free to use?

Yes! It's completely free.

How do I delete my account?

Email Tony Vincent to request account deletion. If your account is deleted, your profile and apps are permanently removed.
