Changing your password
Open My Settings and click Change Password. Enter your current password, then your new one. The change takes effect right away.
If you signed up with Google, you don't have a Teacher Hive password to change. You sign in through Google every time. Manage your Google password from your Google account.
Changing your email address
- Open My Settings.
- Click Change email.
- Enter your new email. We'll send a verification link to that address.
- Click the link within 30 minutes. Your account email switches to the new address.
Your old email no longer signs you in. Your apps, bookmarks, follows, comments, and your membership status all transfer. You'll be signed out of every device, so sign in again with the new email.
If you previously signed in with Google, that connection ends when your email changes. Your welcome email to the new address will include a one-click link to set a Teacher Hive password. After that, you sign in with email and password going forward.
Reconnecting Google sign-in
Once you're signed in with your new email and password, you can re-enable Google sign-in:
- Open My Settings.
- In the Account section, click Link Google.
- Pick the Google account whose email matches your new Teacher Hive email.
If you pick a Google account with a different email, we'll show you which one to pick instead. After linking, you can sign in either with email and password or with Google. Both take you to the same Teacher Hive account.
For your protection, you can change your email at most once every 7 days.
Deleting your account
Open My Settings, scroll to the bottom, and click Delete My Account. You'll be asked to confirm. Deletion is permanent and removes:
- Your profile and bio.
- All your apps, including any data they've saved.
- All your bookmarks, follows, and followers.
- Your AI provider keys, push notification tokens, and Buzz notifications.
- Your comments on other teachers' apps and Buzz posts.
- If you have a Pro subscription, it's canceled right away so you aren't billed further.
Once your account is deleted, it can't be brought back. If you just want a break, you don't have to delete, you can stop signing in and your account will sit untouched.
