Open the Add App form from the Add App button on you My Apps page. Here's what each field does.

Short, scannable. This shows on the app card and the Info page. 40 characters or fewer reads best.
Slug
The URL piece. apphive.us/{slug}. Lowercase, hyphens, no spaces. Must be unique across all of Teacher Hive. It checks availability as you type.
Description
One or two sentences. Shows on the Info page and in search results. Skip the marketing voice; just say what the app does. Must be between 40 and 200 characters.
Additional details
A longer write-up with formatting (bold, lists, links). Use this for setup instructions, lesson context, or to share the prompt you used to build the app. Shown on the app's Info page only.
App icon
Square image, 512x512 recommended. Visible on app cards and the Info page. PNG or JPG. This icon is also used for the app's browser icon and the Home screen icon on mobile devices.
App Source
Choose HTML Code or External URL. If you copied your app's HTML code, paste it into the "Paste code here" field. If you have an HTML file saved, you can click the Upload HTML button. If your app is already hosted elsewhere, choose External URL and paste the full web address. Read more about the difference.
Public Listing
Turn this on to show your app on your profile, in search, and across Teacher Hive. Leave it off to keep the app unlisted. The Info page and direct URL still work for anyone you share it with.
Copyable
Apps with the Connected Superpower show a Copyable toggle. When on, other teachers can make their own copy of your app to use with their students or guests. Copies have their own data, separate from yours.
Social image
Wider image (1200x630) used when someone shares your app on Bluesky, Facebook, or in a chat. Falls back to the app icon if not set.
Target grades and audience
Which grades is the app designed for? Or is it for other teachers? Or both? Your selection powers the audience filters in search.
User tags
Keywords other teachers might search for. Examples: fractions, warm-up, exit ticket, phonics. Up to 10. Each tag becomes clickable on your app's Info page and shows other apps with the same tag.
Superpowers
Toggle the ones your app uses. Each section expands when you flip it on. Read more about Superpowers.
