How students use it

  1. Open Bee There and tap Start scanning.
  2. Point the camera at a QR code. The link opens on its own.
  3. Press Back to return to Bee There and scan the next one.
What it reads

Links, plain text, Wi-Fi networks, contacts, calendar events, email, text messages, locations, and phone numbers. Anything that isn't a link is shown on screen instead of opened.

No camera? Scan a picture

Use the picture button in the top corner to read a code from a screenshot, a photo, or a PDF on the same screen.

Show a code again

Bee There keeps the last 50 scans on the device. Open Recent scans to put any code back on screen, full size, for students who missed it. Delete any single scan, or clear them all.

Scanning tips

  • QR codes scan best on a white or light background.
  • The bigger the code on screen, the further back students can stand.
  • Chromebook cameras especially need the contrast a bright slide gives them.
Made for school devices

Works in Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox on Chromebooks, laptops, tablets, and phones. No install, no account, no sign-in. Have students bookmark it so it's always one click away.

Accessibility

Any scanned note can be read aloud.

Privacy

Bee There doesn't load anything from other services and doesn't send anything anywhere. Recent scans stay in the browser on that device and can be cleared at any time. The camera turns itself off after a minute of no scanning. Only web links open automatically. Everything else is shown, never followed.
