Dr. K
Dr. E. James Kotora, Jr. is a highly accomplished music educator who has a passion for teaching children of all ages. Currently he teaches music to children in grades K, 1 and 2 at Normandy Elementary School. Dr. Kotora firmly believes that every child possesses musical ability and that music learning is an essential aspect in education, impacting everything that is taught in school. With experience in both public and private schools, Dr. Kotora has taught music at the elementary, middle, high school and collegiate levels. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Vocal Music and Music Education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and in 2001, he completed his doctoral work in Music Education, earning a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University.
